Innovation in Teaching Methodology

• Created a platform rstudio.iiitkottayam.ac.in for Post graduate students to learn R programming interactively. The server is hosted at the IIIT Kottayam Campus.
• Created a platform rconnect.iiitkottayam.ac.in enabling students to publish the projects in R and also to publish Dashboards for data analysis (using shiny or Flask). It is hosted at IIIT Kottayam campus.
• Introduced real life and industrial case studies in the courses
• Created and Introduced J-Flap simulations for better understanding of Theory of computation concepts.
• Added a module on Virtual Programming Lab in Moodle for better programming and ease of evaluation.
• Worked with the technical team of IIIT Kottayam to create and customize an open source online learning platform (big blue button) and integrate it with Moodle. For this initiative the institute received appreciation from Ministry of Education in October 2020.
